The Challenges
Before adopting Info-Tech’s HRMS software, The ENT Clinic relied entirely on manual processes for HR tasks, creating significant inefficiencies. Payroll calculations were done manually each month, which was not only time-consuming but also left room for potential errors. This also meant that tracking leave applications, claims, and employee attendance required cumbersome paperwork, adding to the administrative burden on the HR team. Storing and managing paper records also took up additional space making it difficult to stay organised and quickly access important information when needed.
Ensuring compliance with Ministry of Manpower (MOM) guidelines was also a challenge, as the manual processes did not provide built-in checks or safeguards for accuracy. The lack of real-time tracking made it harder for managers to monitor employee attendance and manage payroll adjustments. Overall, these manual HR processes slowed down operations and prevented the clinic’s staff from focusing on more strategic tasks.
