The Challenges
Prior to adopting Info-Tech’s HRMS software, The Canopy Café struggled with manual handling of HR tasks, which led to inefficiencies and delays. Without an automated system, payroll processing and attendance tracking became labour-intensive, with a higher risk of errors due to manual calculations and paperwork. Managing leave requests involved lengthy procedures with physical forms, making it difficult to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
As the HR team frequently worked remotely, the absence of a cloud-based platform posed additional challenges in accessing and managing employee data efficiently. Despite having experience with other software solutions, they found them lacking in simplicity and usability, which left them still reliant on manual processes. As the café grew, these issues became more pronounced, making it clear that they a streamlined solution that allowed them to better manage their HR tasks to free up more time for more strategic initiatives.
