It has been around since 2012 and is meant to help with daily costs, healthcare, utility bills and HDB charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2026, some Singaporeans can receive <strong>up to S$850 in cash<\/strong>. The home listed on your NRIC must also have an Annual Value of <strong>S$31,000 or below<\/strong> as at 31 December 2025. People who already signed up for government benefits can receive their payments automatically from <strong>7 August 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your NRIC is linked to PayNow, the cash can be sent directly to your bank account. MediSave payments do not go to your normal bank account. You must be <strong>65 years old or above in 2026<\/strong>, live in Singapore and have a home with an Annual Value of <strong>S$31,000 or below<\/strong>. You also cannot own more than one property. You do not get this money in cash. It is added directly to your household&#8217;s SP Services account and used to reduce your electricity, water or gas bill. The regular rebates are given four times a year, usually in <strong>January, April, July and October<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For an HDB flat that is not fully rented out, there generally needs to be at least one Singapore citizen owner or occupier living there. There are also rules on owning other properties. For flats that are fully rented out, different conditions apply to the tenants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eligible HDB households have also received extra U-Save support in <strong>April and July 2026<\/strong>. There must generally be at least one Singapore citizen owner or occupier living in the flat. The owners and essential occupiers must not own private property, and the whole flat must not be rented out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eligible households can receive around <strong>1.5 to 3.5 months of rebates<\/strong>, depending on the type of flat. There is no cash payout for this. The rebate is used directly to reduce the amount charged by the town council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"section8\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How Do You Apply for GST Voucher 2026?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have already signed up for government benefits before, you normally do not need to apply again. The government checks your details and, if you qualify, the payout is made automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have never signed up before, you can do so through the GovBenefits website using Singpass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the August 2026 payout, people who had not signed up before were asked to register by <strong>14 July 2026<\/strong>. You should also make sure your PayNow-NRIC or bank details are correct if you are expecting a cash payout.
